Cattle raising

In this enclave, cows and calves graze in complete freedom without any kind of stabling. The cattle, which graze in the Dehesa, are used to the warm climate and are robust animals with a strong constitution. The main breeds we breed on our farms are Retinta, typical of the Iberian south; Limusina, of French origin and Lidia. Our Lidia cattle are from the Gavira line.

The horse is an essential tool for the cattle handling, even more so in this area, where the terrain can be very rough.

We also dedicate time and resources to the professional training of horses. Our family has a long and successful tradition in the world of horses, which has become a part of the business, as we develop the breeding and training of horses in a professional and sporting manner.

The environment in which the goats are reared and the mild climate during most of the year in the Sierra de Grazalema and the Alcornocales Natural Park allow the animals to graze on natural fodder full of nutrients giving their milk, and therefore the cheese, a unique flavour and high protein and fat value.

Iberian ham is one of Spain’s most emblematic and renowned products. On the farm we have one of the best selection of Iberian pig mothers who breed in an area full of holm oak trees with acorns, wild olive trees and ideal pastures for the development of this animal.
