The farm

The farm is divided into 4 main parts:

First we find the mountains “la sierra”, where our goats graze in total freedom; secondly, we find the part of the farm that is dedicated to the farmland for self-supply agriculture; in third place we find almond and olive groves; and finally the pasture, home of all the native holm oaks in the area.

All these areas surround the central swamp that is one of the largest freshwater reserves in Andalusia.

Location

At the end of the Jerezana countryside and at the foot of the Sierra Gaditana bordering the Guadalcacín reservoir and skirts of the Alcornocales Natural Park, is Dehesa Fuente Ymbro. A unique and privileged environment that has a great natural diversity and a very favorable climate for the development of species and cultivation.

Soil

We have a mixed soil, which enables us to work with it and perform the different tasks at any time of the year.

Climate

The proximity to the Sierra de Grazalema makes the rainfall high. However, 30 km in a straight line we find the sea, this makes the climate balance perfect. This greatly benefits the growth of pastures and groves.

Flora and fauna

Given the location and climate, we have an extensive flora typical of the Sierra de Cádiz. We can find plants like; wild rosemary, palmitos, holm oaks, arbutus, lentisk and olive trees. All this flora gives refuge to vultures, partridges, hares, rabbits, deers, wild boars, foxes and of course, the wonderful eagle owl and partridge eagle, which are in danger of extinction. We are definitely in a privileged environment that has a very positive influence on the quality of the products we offer.
